What are we trying to preserve?

$125.00

The United States is an incredibly polarized climate right now, with no shortage of people telling others what to think and believe. This piece challenges the viewer to think on their own. Left, Right, or other… there isn’t a wrong answer—just ask yourself: What are we trying to preserve?

This 8 layer screenprint is handprinted on a natural Kozo paper, and the color causes the paper to recede into the background allowing the subject to really stand out. Many of the layers use varying degrees of opacity to subtly “tint” the underlying layers, visually encasing the flag within the glass of the jar, but also physically encasing it as layer after layer of ink is applied. Finally, the scale: at this size the image is impossible to ignore. This is a piece that will get noticed!

Note on price: This is a Limited Edition print. Each one is signed and numbered. No more will ever be printed, so when they’re gone, they’re gone. Creating a limited edition like this is an insane amount of work, and as a result they are more expensive. If a limited edition print is a bit out of your range, check out my Posters and Prints section. I intentionally price those to be accessible to everyone. If those are still out of your range, contact me and we’ll work something out. Everyone that wants art should have access to it.
